I think I have come to a turning point..

I didn't expect to be here.

I think I have come to a turning point..  a crossroads.

I was, am, a botanical artist but I get the feeling that I am moving further away from "traditional botanical art" as I think of my next project..  Some might say I wasn't that traditional to start with.

I have the concept in my mind.  I have had it for quite some time now, but with one thing and another - procrastination it's called - I am only now just cementing it into a collection.  It will be a body of work that will, I hope,  engage people who don't normally look at botanical art without turning off the ones who do!

A fine line, I know.

I do still wonder if its the right choice, but I am excited at the prospect of doing something different.  So, a bit of courage and fortitude will be in order..  you might have to help me with that along the way.

Here is the first painting in the series.

I won't tell you the name of the series just each painting, for now.
